Fundraising for the Youth Centre
We are currently raising £10,000 to expand the Youth Centre in the Nottingham Islam Information Centre. Currently the Youth Centre is only 780 ft² and we would like to expand it to 1170 ft² so it can house more games and activities for the children.
The Youth Centre will consist of 2 full-size Pool Tables, 2 Table Tennis, 1 Combo Table Football & Air Hockey, 1 Arcade Machine, 1 Wii Games Console, 1 Xbox 360 Kiosk Stand, 1 Boxer Punch Ball, 1 Professional Arm Wrestling table and 1 full-size Scalextric table.
With 11 games and activities to entertain the children and teenagers with, the Youth Centre will be a place regularly visited by the Muslim youth with Youth workers overlooking the floor. Our Senior Youth workers will be trained in Youth work, First Aid and be DBS Checked. CCTV will be situated throughout the Youth Centre as well as around the Nottingham Islam Information Centre.
Generally the Youth Centre will be opened to girls on Saturdays and Sundays 2pm-5pm and opened to boys Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 5pm-9pm. We will not turn away any non-Muslims who wish to partake in the Youth Centre but they will be subjected to learning etiquettes and teachings of Islam. The Youth Centre will not tolerate any criminal activities, smoking, intoxicants of alcohol or drugs, racism, swearing or fighting.
The Youth Centre will also serve the Madrassa (Monday to Thurday) when the children are having intervals in-between classes. They can play the various games during their breaks and resume back to their classes when prompted.
The expansion has already started and the builders firm will need paying so we urge you to donate as much as you can towards the expansion of the Youth Centre for our children to benefit freely from.

JazakAllahu khairun.
